Statute of the Commission of Slavic Emigration

 

Article 1. The Commission of Slavic Emigration is one of the committees of the International Committee of Slavists and acts on the basis of its Statute (http://mks2018.fil.bg.ac.rs/ustav-mezdunarodnogo-komiteta-slavistov-prin%d1%8ft-na-28-plenarnom-zasedanii-mks-urbino-21-okt%d1%8fbr%d1%8f-1994-goda/).

 

Article 2. The  research interests of the Commission comprise the history of emigration, the situation of Russian expatriates, its institutions (educational, universities, publishing houses and printing industry) and organizational forms (circles, societies, parties), spiritual, religious and political life, achievements in such areas as: literature, various types of fiction (journalism, documental studies, essay writing, scientific, philosophical, religious texts), numerous forms of art: theatre, ballet, opera, cinema, painting, music, as well as scientific accomplishments.

 

Article 3. Emigrantological research is conducted from the point of view of history, culture, literature, linguistics, art history, religious studies, sociology, political science, pedagogy and others.

 

Article 4. The Commission consists of representatives of the International Committe of Slavists who come from different countries. Candidates for members are proposed by the Presidium of the Commission or national committees and approved in a vote at official Commission meetings.

 

Article 5. The President of the Commission is elected for a five-year period. If less than 25% of the Commission members participate in the meeting, a default vote is allowed.

 

Article 6. All issues related to the activities of the Commission, which have not been included in this Statute, are resolved on the basis of the general Statute of the International Committe of Slavists.
